Madison BarCamp

BarCamp is an international network of user-generated conferences that are open, participatory workshop-events whose content is provided by participants. BarCamps often focus on early-stage web applications, related open source technologies, social protocols, and open data formats. Attendees are the event presenters, bringing ideas they want to share and present to the BarCamp community including topics on sustainability, photography, trends in mobile development, what makes a good boss, or any other topic of interest. The event is free for attendees because of support from donations such as those gifted by Safe Bridge.

TEMPO Madison is an invitation only, peer-to-peer organization in the greater Madison area that connects women leaders with diverse backgrounds and experience to support, advise, learn and develop relationships, and facilitate connections of influence and belonging.

The Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) is the largest human resources association promoting the HR profession and providing education, certification, and networking to its members. The Greater Madison Area chapter comprises 800 members representing over 500 companies. GMA SHRM provides 25 education/networking programs and several conferences annually, most of them free of charge. Safe Bridge has been involved with GMA SHRM since 2004.

Founded the same year as Safe Bridge, Dane Buy Local is a coalition of local independent businesses, organizations, and citizens in and around Dane County, Wisconsin, acting in alliance to keep our communities prosperous and sustainable.

With over 540 members, Dane Buy Local keeps members engaged through bimonthly breakfast meetings and evening socials. Member surveys and educational seminars are offered as additional means to engage and help businesses learn how to become more successful.
